Revised plans to build homes alongside a foodstore have been submitted to Blackpool Council.
Tesco was grantedplanning permission in 2013 to build on an area of land between its store on Westcliffe Drive and Wembley Avenue in Layton.
However the scheme has not gone ahead, and now the chain has put forward updated proposals for the site.
It would see two semi-detached two-bedroomed bungalows built on the land.
A statement accompanying the planning application says: “The proposal, if granted, will bring back into use a piece of unused land, assisting the council in meeting its housing targets and providing quality residential accommodation in this highly accessible area.”
