A scheme to build a further 42 homes on Chain Lane in Staining is to be discussed by planning chiefs at Fylde Council.
Jones Homes has applied to the Town Hall for permission to extend its housing development in the village.
Coun John Singleton, who represents Staining, is objecting to the plans.
He said: “It will create additional traffic on the narrow roads we have.
“Also, the serious flooding that we have in Staining is quite frequent and there is no provision of effective drainage. That should be sorted prior to any planning application being considered.”
The Staining Against Village Expansion (SAVE) action group is also against the proposals.
Jones Homes declined to comment today.
The council’s Development Management Committee meets on May 22 at Fylde Town Hall from 10am.
