Fylde coast high level experts aiming to clean up

Business is on the up for an expanding Blackpool firm with a head for heights.

High Level Specialists has been formed by James Evans and Chris Shaw to specialise in rope access work and commercial cleaning.

James founded Rope Access Inspections North West in 2014 with a little help from Blackpool Council’s Get Started scheme, and his team have been called on to carry out work at heights across the UK and beyond.

They picked up some high profile contracts including work on the Blackpool Tower, the Winter Gardens,Blackpool Pleasure Beach and Preston Guild Hall.

The company expanded rapidly, out-growing two offices before taking the next step and teaming up with Chris Shaw.They have now moved in to Unit 3, Brookside, at the Red Marsh Industrial Estate in Thornton.

Their latest expansion involves using their expertise with cleaning difficult to reach buildings and structures to produce their own range of specialist cleaning products.

James, who made the headlines when he dressed up as Spiderman when working on a primary school in Knightsbridge in London, said: “We had grown as a company and were looking to diversify so we partnered up with long time family friend Chris Shaw to develop the cleaning side of the business. We manufacture our own chemical and janitorial supplies, everything from de-greasers for commercial kitchens to pressure washing liquids.

“It is all about sustainability for the business.

“We are still going strong with our high and low level niche services, the last project being the wash down of a 16 storey building in Halifax with our in house steam cleaning and pressure washing set up.”

The company now has four full time staff with another 10 part time cleaning staff.

It then sub contracts on a project to project mainly using local highly trained rope access staff on all high level works. They carry out maintenance, cleaning and inspection work on industrial and renewable energy constructions and a re hired when there is no need or no room for scaffolding.
