Fylde coast house builders James Carter Homes in association with Fylde Joinery and Building Services Ltd has expanded its team with the appointment of Tom Workman as Operations Manager.

His role will see him focus on maintaining the Poulton-le-Fylde based company’s contracting success in the area and across the company’s new homes division as it looks to expand the group’s business.

Tom said: “I am delighted to join the company at a very exciting time of growth and I will be working closely with managing director, Sean O’Toole to help grow the construction side and assist with our ever expanding development portfolio.” Tom has considerable experience in the construction industry and for the past seven years spent time working as programme leader for Higher Education in Construction at Blackpool and The Fylde College.

As principle lecturer for professional studies he helped more than 700 students to take up a challenging career within construction.

Tom added: “Whilst the College position gave me eminence satisfaction I am very much looking forward to putting my knowledge to good use.”

Sean said: “Tom’s appointment comes at an important time for James Carter Homes and Fylde Joinery as the Group is embarking on building work along the Fylde coast. Tom will play an invaluable role, bringing with him a strong track record of success.”
