A Fleetwood business is hoping a useful app for schools will prove to be top of the class.
Tony Smith and James Campbell of Eazi Apps develop smartphone applications which can help businesses , schools and even churches keep in touch with the people they deal with.
Parishioners at St Wulstan’s and St Edmund’s RC Church in Fleetwood can use the church’s app to keep up to date with the latest Parish news and events and even access words of wisdom from the Pope himself!
The latest app has been developed for St Wulstan’s and St Edmund’s Primary School and will help the school communicate with parents through their smartphones and tablets.
Tony, who has been in marketing for over 20 years, said the company was founded as he had always harboured a desire to own his own business.
He said: “Three years ago my wife bought me an iPad for Christmas, since then there has not been a day gone by that it hasn’t been used!
“I have developed a passion for mobile apps and how they can help people in their everyday life. In June I decided to set up my business, Eleven Eleven Eleven Limited trading as Eazi Apps.”
The business is a franchise drawing on the technical development expertise at Eazi Apps.
“James and I have spent 12 months looking at the market place and we opted to go through the franchise route. It gives us the best of both worlds, with all the experience and back-up we need.
“We have been looking at key areas for growth and one of these is the education sector. The app for the school is really appropriate. You see so many parents using their smartphones at the school gates so having an app to make life easier is a good fit.
“The number of smartphone users in the UK is estimated to be 30.9 million, representing 48.4 per cent of UK residents and 60.4 per cent of UK mobile users.
“Businesses and organisations everywhere are realising the importance of communicating with their customers through their preferred device and the need to develop a mobile strategy.
“We offer a turnkey mobile app solution that includes app development and design through to app deployment to Apple and Android stores and strategies for getting the finished apps on to peoples smartphones and into their pockets.”
