A small fire in Bispham was among the incidents dealt with by firefighters during last night’s four and a half-hour strike.
Firefighters walked out between 6.30pm and 11pm in a nationwide dispute between the government and the Fire Brigades Union (FBU) over pensions.
A nuisance fire in a wheelie bin in Bispham was one of 19 incidents dealt with by resilience crews in Lancashire during that time.
Others from around the county included a number of small fires, a road traffic collision in Ormskirk and a car fire in Morecambe.
A statement from Lancashire Fire and Rescue said: “The strikes carried out by firefighters has now ended. The majority of our fire engines were still available during this time.
“Firefighters attended several false alarms during the strike period but nothing that was malicious.
“We would like to remind members of the public that a further strike is planned for Monday morning between 6am and 8am.”
