Blackpool-based overpayment recovery and cost consultancy specialist, PCMG, which has clawed back millions of pounds for organisations including many of the UK’s FTSE 100 firms, is celebrating a double milestone.
The Blackpool Business Park-based company also known as Professional Cost Management Group, has announced it has secured its 5,000th contract – with Heatherwood and Wexham Park Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
The large acute hospital trust has signed up to PCMG’s utility cost recovery service through the analysis and recovery framework.
In addition to the new contract milestone, PCMG’s expertise in identifying and rectifying current and historical overpayments across electricity gas, water and telecoms expenditure, is now available to NHS Trusts and other UK public sector bodies as part of the NHS Shared Business Services Framework Agreement.
PCMG, which is also celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, has so far recovered £255m in telecoms, energy, water and accounts payable for companies across the private and public sector.
To date, it has helped reclaim £7m specifically for NHS Trusts, contributing to savings in the face of increasing budget cuts.
Based on the results achieved so far, PCMG’s experts believe there is more than £20m still to recover for NHS trusts in overcharged utility costs alone.
Martin Hook, sales director, said: “Securing our 5,000th contract is a major achievement for us and comes at the same time as a pivotal point in our company heritage, our 20th anniversary.
“These significant milestones reinforce just how essential our services are, and continue to be, for UK businesses, whether they are large corporates or SMEs or organisations operating within the private or public sector.
“In the last two decades, we have gone from strength to strength and have seen our workforce expand from just five members of staff to more than 50, a figure that is continuing to grow. Our service enables organisations of all sizes to help improve their cash flow and increase revenues.”
PCMG is part of consulting giant, Alma Consulting Group.
