Celebrating contract in style

BUSINESS leaders from across the Fylde were among guests at a glittering event at Leonard Dews Jewellers in Lytham.

As the company's 130th anniversary year starts to draw to a close, the Clifton Street store's manager Peter Pendrey staged a showcase evening to celebrate the company renewing its supply agreement with prestige watch brand Chanel.

Mr Pendrey said: "We felt it was a fitting way of celebrating the renewing of our partnership with Chanel and also marking the milestone anniversary of the business."

Thriving

Over the past two years, the store on the corner of Clifton Street and Bath Street has become one of the most popular in the town centre, highlighting Lytham's appeal as a thriving retail centre.

Opened by Radio Two broadcaster and TV presenter Aled Jones, the 250,000 store is on the site of the former Talbot Hotel.

Michael Hyman, managing director of Leonard Dews, undertook a major restoration of the historic building, including its well-known facade.

As well as stores in Lytham and Church Street, Blackpool, the company also owns Wilkins Diamonds on the Isle of Man.
