Gruelling interviews are set to start next week after the finalists in the biggest business awards in the county were announced.

The Be Inspired in Business Awards (BIBAs)have attracted an extraordinary level of entries from some of Lancashire’s top-performing companies, with the quality and standard of entrants “exceptional” according to organisers.

Hailed as the ‘one they all want to win’, the BIBAs 2013 opened in January and now the shortlist for the 16 categories of the BIBAs, has been drawn up.

Finalists will have a week to collect their thoughts before going in front of the judges in Blackpool for the last time to explain why they deserve to be a winner.

Chief executive of the North and Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce, Babs Murphy said: “The BIBAs have gone from strength to strength, showcasing the achievements of businesses of all sizes and types.

“It is wonderful to see so many companies which refuse to let the ongoing economic challenges distract their focus and I believe these awards will help give them the recognition they so justly
deserve.”

The finals ceremony of the BIBAs will take place on Friday, September 20 at the Blackpool Tower where businesses will celebrate in style.
