A TOP Fylde coast tourism attraction has been named as a finalist in the Business Tourism category of the prestigious VisitEngland Awards for Excellence 2012.
As a finalist, Ribby Hall Village now goes forward to the glittering Awards Ceremony being held on May 22 at Athena, an art deco gem located in the heart of Leicester’s cultural quarter.
Bosses at the Wrea Green attraction will have to wait until then to find out which award they will receive. All finalists are guaranteed to receive a Gold, Silver, Bronze or Highly Commended Award.
James Berresford, VisitEngland’s Chief Executive said: “I would like to congratulate all those nominated as VisitEngland Awards for Excellence finalists this year.
“This is no small achievement in a year when we have received a record number of submissions.
“The quality of submissions this year has been outstanding and Ribby Hall can justifiably take credit and pride in earning a place at the top of their category in England.”
Speaking on behalf of conference and banqueting at Ribby Hall Village, manager Paul Green, said: “These awards are the pinnacle of the Business Tourist industry.
“To be nominated as one of five finalists out of 392 businesses entered or nominated, is a great achievement for the team and reflects the hard work, passion and professionalism that they bring to our business and that our guests enjoy.
We strive to constantly raise the bar through reinvestment so to receive this recognition is pleasing.”
