Fireman Sam, Barbie and Pikachu were just some of the special guests on hand to celebrate a toy store’s opening.
The characters dropped in on Saturday as Smyths Toys Superstore marked opening its doors for the first time, as it begins its venture in the former DW Soccer Centre on Vicarage Lane.
And there’s sure to be plenty of toys to choose from with the store measuring up at 23,000 sq ft.
Smyths, which has 85 stores nationally, will employ 35 people.
Store manager, Nick Sheridan, said: “We’re thrilled to be opening a new Smyths Toys Superstore in Blackpool.
“We aim to offer a fun-filled shopping experience for our customers, with the best range of products at the most competitive prices all year round.
“There’s sure to be a tremendous sense of fun and enjoyment at the store.”
And Rob Guckian, also from the store had previously said: “This is an exciting opportunity for us and we cannot wait to welcome new customers to the store.
“We are looking for enthusiastic staff who are passionate about toys.”
