St Annes-based energy group Inenco has been shortlisted in 10 out of 12 categories in prestigious national awards celebrating consultancy excellence in the sector.

The inaugural Energy Live Consultancy Awards will be announced at an awards ceremony in London on June 27.

Inenco, whose headquarters are in St Andrew’s Road North, and its sister company, Inenco Direct, have been nominated in a host of categories across both the Industrial and Commercial and SME (small to medium enterprise) consultant sectors.

Michael Abbott, managing director of Inenco Group, said: “We are delighted to have been shortlisted in so many categories in these prestigious awards. The submissions created were based on the excellent work we all do, our innovation, customer service, processes and overall contribution to the industry.

“It reflects the hard work, dedication and professionalism of our teams and the results they deliver and it is great to see all their efforts recognised by their peers in the highly competitive energy consultancy sector.”

Inenco manages more than £3.2bn of gas and electricity for major customers in the UK and overseas and clients include Marks and Spencer, Matalan, Kellogg’s and The Spirit Group. Each of the categories was judged by a shortlisting panel of independent energy managers. The shortlist will now be sent to a final judging panel of top industry experts.

Sumit Bose, of award organisers ELN, said: “When we launched these awards we set out to show just how much good work is being done in the consultancy space and to match that we wanted these awards to be thorough, fair and above all independent.

“These awards will set the gold standard and our awards ceremony will certainly be a night to remember.”
