ANCHORSHOLME is set for an explosion of colour after hundreds of daffodil bulbs were planted.

Children joined forces with community leaders to plant more than 1,500 bulbs in Eastpines Park, the Welcome to Anchorsholme garden on Anchorsholme Lane, the flower beds along Huntingdon Road and the half barrel planters on Rockville Avenue.

Anchorsholme ward councillor Paul Galley thanked everyone who took part and said: “We want the area to be the garden of Blackpool.”
