Plans have been submitted for 90 homes and a bowling green pavilion to be built across two pockets of land in Thornton.
Melrose Homes have applied to Wyre Council to build the mix of properties, including affordable homes and retirement apartments, on land off Fleetwood Road South, and on a second site off Victoria Road East.
The development site has been sold by Wyre Council subject to planning permission being granted.
The homes on Victoria Road East would be built on the site of the former Ashdell Nurseries. Chinese restaurant Treasure Star, the tenancy to which is included in the sale, remains open for business.
The plans include 40 two, three and four-bedroom homes and 29 one and two-bedroom retirement apartments, as well as the bowling green pavilion for the adjacent greens on the Victoria Road East site.
Further two and three-bedroom affordable properties are proposed for land off Fleetwood Road South, opposite the war memorial.
The detailed application also includes notes on dozens of trees and plants to be introduced to the sites.
The 2.4 hectares of land are made up of both brownfield and greenfield land, forming part of Marsh Mill Village urban settlement boundary.
Bosses behind the application have said they are unable to comment at this early stage, but they would hope to be on the site by spring/summer 2015.
Neither Wyre Council, or Norcross ward councillor Ann Turner were able to comment on the proposed development.
The plans are now due to be considered.
