A brand new beer festival has been serving up the good times in Blackpool.
The three-day event came to a close on Saturday after hundreds of people turned up to Blackpool FC’s Bloomfield Road stadium to enjoy a pint or two.
Organisers of the Blackpool Beer and Cider Festival said the reaction from customers had been positive and they hoped to return to the venue next year.
And if sweet talking the football club doesn’t persuade bosses to let them host the festival next year, perhaps the decision to serve a tangerine flavoured beer in honour of their hosts will.
Organiser Russ Cobb said: “There was a good beer selection and everyone found a beer they liked.
“The only slight disappointment was that we would have liked to have had a few more people – but we did have a lot of people come to all three sessions.
“And for a first-time festival there were a lot of positives. Everyone who came enjoyed themselves.
“We would be really keen to hold another festival in here if the cub is amenable to it.”
