The store was empty and the man jumped over the counter and demanded the cashier open the tills before taking cash and leaving.

Fortunately the cashier was not injured and he only got away with a small quantity of cash.

Now Lancashire Police have released CCTV images of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the robbery.

DS Steven Harry, of Blackpool Police said: “Clearly this is a serious offence which has left the cashier very shaken.

“If it were not for her sensible approach to the situation she may well have suffered injuries at the hands of this male.
