DETECTIVES have arrested a teenage boy on suspicion of murder following a house fire where four siblings died.

Rescuers battled to save 19-year-old Reece Smith, four-year-old twin sisters Holly and Ella and two-year-old brother Jordan during Saturday’s fire but the four tragically died at Royal Preston Hospital.

The 18-year-old, from Lytham, is currently in custody at Blackpool’s Bonny Street headquarters and will be questioned by officers today.

Det Chief Insp Neil Esseen said: “I can confirm this fire is now being treated as suspicious.”
