Blackpool FC will be playing League One football next year after being relegated from the Championship.
Rotherham’s 1-0 win at home to Brighton on Easter Monday meant the Seasiders are now certain to go down.
Pool, who were just seconds from picking up all three points on Saturday, lie bottom of the Championship with 24 points from 40 games.
Rotherham’s win lifts them out of the relegation zone and level with Fulham on 43 points.
As a result, Pool – who are the first club in the Football League to be relegated this season – are now 19 points behind with just six games left to play.
