Blackpool MP urges young people to sign up for Prince's Trust scheme
Blackpool South MP Gordon Marsden, who presented certificates to one group, said helping with the Trust would boost their chances of getting jobs.
He joined Lancashire’s Chief Fire Officer Chris Kenny and the Mayor of Blackpool Gary Coleman at the presentation (inset) for the Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service and Prince’s Trust Team 72.

Hide AdThe shadow skills and higher education minister said: “This programme has been jointly hosted by Lancashire Fire and Rescue and the Prince’s Trust and is a powerful and longstanding opportunity, which I have supported over the years for young people across Blackpool to get on the right work and career pathways.
“I was particularly impressed by the strong testimonies and by their wishes to go on and volunteer, seek further training, go to university or do an apprenticeship.”
Lancashire Fire and Rescue and Prince’s Trust are now on the search for applicants to apply for Team 73 with the next programme starting Monday, September 10.
