Council bosses have approved plans for 30 beach huts which could bring up to 25,000 visitors a year to St Annes.
The scheme, by businessman Stuart Robertson, was agreed by Fylde Council yesterday.
The huts, which will be sited next to the miniature golf course, will join 10 already in the resort, and a further five which already have planning permission.
Mr Robertson, who runs St Annes Beach Huts, said: “It’s not been an easy journey for me to try and get the beach huts established, but I believe there is something magical about them.
“This will bring in up to 25,000 visitors per annum, based on existing levels.”
Two speakers raised concerns about the lack of toilets and smells from barbecues used by hut users, but the plans were unanimously approved.
