The new £200,000 Air Balloon has been given the thumbs up by a local youth group.

Youngsters from Blackpool-based Tiptoes dance group officially opened the revamped Fayre & Square pub restaurant on Squires Gate Lane.

As part of their duties they were asked give their feedback on the food, service and décor, giving top marks to the pub’s unique, fun shaped ‘square’ burger made for grown-ups and very hungry children.

Also proving a big hit was the launch weekend fun fair activities which included a face painter and juggling displays.

Air Balloon general manager Toni Johnson said: “Children are notoriously honest when it comes to feedback, so we couldn’t think of a better way to see if our new Fayre & Square offer was hitting the right note by inviting the local dance group to be our special Guest Panel.

“They did a fantastic job and were able to enjoy all the fun of the fair too thanks to the entertainment which was free for everyone.

“Overall it was a huge success and it was great to see so many people joining in our celebrations and having such a good time – I hope everyone enjoys our new look and new menu.”

Punch Pub Company is delivering Fayre & Square to provide meals and square deals, all day every day.

To celebrate the launch, Fayre and Square is also running a national competition for youngsters to design a ‘square’ shaped meal, with the overall winner’s dish appearing on a future menu.
