A man has made his first appearance at court accused of making videos featuring child pornography.

Craig Wilson, 35, of Bleasdale Avenue, Anchorsholme, is charged with nine offences of making indecent videos of children and three offences of possessing indecent photographs of children.

The offences are said to have taken place between May 2012 and July last year and most of the material is alleged to be of the most indecent category.

Martine Connah, prosecuting, asked for the case to go to crown court. Defence lawyer, David Charnley, said his client would not indicate a plea to the charges at this stage.

Wilson was bailed to appear at Preston Crown Court on September 20 by District Judge David Purcell sitting at Blackpool Magistrates’ Court.
