A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of the murder of a baby found dead in a Kirkham brook.
The 35-year-old handed himself in at a police station in Cumbria and told officers he was involved in the death of the infant, whose body was found in a ditch off Carr Lane on October 1.
The man, from Barrow, was transferred to Preston Police Station for questioning by detectives but was released without charge on Saturday.
While the man was being questioned by senior officers, a police search of a flat in Ferry Road, Barrow, was carried out in connection with the information.
