A Fleetwood landmark has added another award to its growing collection.
Rossall Point has scooped the Small Project of the Year Award from the Institution of Structural Engineers at an annual ceremony.
The 42-foot tower, which leans into the wind, was built in 2013 as part of Wyre Council’s Sea Change coastal regeneration programme.
The ground floor is an education facility, while the first floor provides space for bird watching
The second floor of the tower is home to the National Coastwatch Institution, a voluntary organisation that keeps watch over shipping and visitors to the Morecambe Bay area.
The tower has previously won awards from the Royal Institute of British Architects and the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, and been short-listed for a Local Authority Building Control Building Excellence Award.
