Sparkling new facilities at Stanley Park are set to be unveiled today.
The athletics arena building in the Blackpool park has undergone a massive £150k refurbishment.
It will be officially opened to the public by Coun Graham Cain (left), Blackpool Council’s cabinet member for Tourism and Culture.
The revamped facility will support a variety of sporting and play events taking place in Stanley Park.
It has plush new changing rooms for the sports pitches and the new BMX track.
It also includes a large multi-purpose room which will be used by athletes competing in the arena as well as local football, cricket and rugby teams.
There will be new disabled toilets and changing rooms, a new link corridor into the athletics club room and a newly refurbished officials area.
Coun Cain said: “The building before was tired and not fit for purpose.
“Now these refurbishments mean we have some great new facilities at Stanley Park and so many people will be able to benefit from them.
“I hope everybody who comes to take part in activities and sports at the park will make the most of this great new facility for years to come.”
