Assault repairs to cost £2,500
Blackpool Magistrates Court
A POLISH man punched a fellow countryman in the mouth damaging three of his teeth.
Paul Elman, a 29-year-old sales assistant, of Hornby Road, Blackpool, admitted assaulting Radoslaw Pawlik when he appeared before Blackpool Magistrates Court.
Martine Connah, prosecuting, said that on November 4 the victim went to a party at an address in Hornby Road.
After drinking Polish beer he went outside for a cigarette with a friend at 11pm.
Elman approached them, started arguing and punched the victim in the mouth, knocking him to the ground where he hit him again.
Three of the victim’s teeth were damaged and when contacted Elman said he would pay £700 towards dental work.
The victim’s dentist later fully assessed the teeth and said the repair work would cost £2,500.
Martin Hillson, defending, said his client had been dropped off near his home by a friend.
Elman said he saw the victim and another man and they said to him: “What are you looking at, we will smack you.”
Elman was bailed for pre-sentence reports by Blackpool magistrates.
