BLACKPOOL legend Jimmy Armfield will open a community day at Trinity Hospice on Friday, as Dying Matters Week comes to an end.
The day involves a number of speakers on medical, legal and practical issues around our final moments.
Trinity medical director Dr Susan Salt said: “Thinking about, let alone talking about dying is both personal and very emotive. Most of us would not choose to even think about the possibility of death until we cannot escape it. The challenge for us all is to be more open about death and dying.“
The day at Trinity is part of a week of activities and a national campaign.
The day is free, but a donation for lunch is requested. Call (01253) 359386 to book.
