ARMED police were called in this morning after reports of a gun raid at a home in Blackpool.
Officers were called to an address on Dickie’s Lane, off Cropper Road, Marton, at 5.20am after reports an armed burglar had broken into the property.
A Lancashire Police spokesman said: “We received a call saying a man had been threatened with a firearm by someone who had broken into the house.
“The offender made off when police attended the scene.
“A man was arrested later on Whitehills Road nearby.”
Five police vehicles were seen on Whitehills Road, close to the large B&Q superstore, shortly after 6am and officers appeared to be searching a field.
A 24-year old man will today be quizzed by detectives after he was arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary.
