Thirty young people are already on the path towards career success as part of a challenge to fill 100 apprenticeships in 100 days.
The campaign, which was launched two weeks ago by Blackpool Council and is supported by The Gazette, has seen posts created in various sectors across the town.
Areas young people have found jobs in range from business administration to brickwork, electrical work to accountancy.
Roles have also been created at companies specialising in design, child care, printing, accountancy and joinery.
The next stage will see a road show launched on Monday in a bid to help other young people to get on the career ladder.
Information stalls will be outside the Sports Direct shop on Bank Hey Street for a fortnight between 10am and 4pm.
Coun Chris Maughan, cabinet member for youth employment on Blackpool Council, said: “It’s really important to get the message out there about apprenticeships.
“Apprenticeships are a good way to give young people a taste of work while they continue to learn new skills.
“Not only does it increase their employment chances but it also helps them grow as an individual.
“The road show is a great way of getting the message out to young people who are in the town centre during the summer holidays and I look forward to seeing its success.”
Latest figures show there are currently 1,700 young people not in employment, education or training in Blackpool.
The campaign to create and fill 100 extra apprenticeship posts will run until November 8.
