A Fylde coast children’s charity is looking for deserving youngsters who needs its help.
Variety, The Children’s Charity, Blackpool Wyre and Fylde raise money for and support sick, disabled or disadvantaged children.
The committee last year gave £1,000 to Chloe’s Wish To Walk, an appeal to raise £48,000 for Fleetwood youngster Chloe New to have a life-changing operation in the US.
The 11-year-old needed the specialist surgery to improve the mobility in her legs to help her walk unaided after being born with cerebral palsy.
Now the charity is looking for other worthy causes to support.
The charity can provide vital equipment or experiences for youngsters.
David Jones, chairman of Variety, Blackpool Wyre and Fylde, said: “We are actively looking for new appeals from people who require help and support to improve their standard of living.
“The £1,000 for Chloe was put towards her surgery. It’s fantastic to be part of something so fundamental for a young girl, to be able to walk.
“It will make a massive difference to her life and to be able to assist someone to live a better life is amazing.
“All the money we raise on the Fylde coast stays local, helping children is our job as a charity.
“We are openly asking for appeals, or anyone who knows of a worthy case, to come forward for us to help.”
