TWO Blackpool drag queens have their sights set high on giving their friends the ultimate VIP experience.

Business partners Paul Carroll, 42, and Lee Sanderson, 41, have entered a competition with Jet2.com to win a free ‘party plane’ flight for 99 friends to fly out to Lanzarote for a special fund-raiser.

Donna Jackson, Lee's sister, tragically died in October last year from cancer.

The pair, from Blackpool, run a drag cabaret show at the Music Hall Tavern in Puerto del Carmen on the Spanish island, and are hoping to get thousands of online votes to win the prize – which would see holidaymakers enjoying classic fish and chips as their in-flight meal while listening to pop music.

Paul and Lee hope to get their friends to the Canary Island in April for a fund-raiser in aid of MacMillan Cancer Support and Trinity Hospice.

The charities are close to their hearts after Lee’s sister, Donna Jackson (pictured), was treated by Macmillan last year after being diagnosed with lung cancer.

The 49-year-old spent her last days at the hospice in Bispham before she died. Lee said: “I think Donna would be pleased we’re giving something to the charities.”
