AN ARNOLD school sixth former is doing his bit for charity by organising a concert at Thornton Little Theatre.
Jack Spriggs, who is 17, is working with friends to host the show, One Night Only on February 25.
As well as raising money for Trinity Hospice, Jack has signed up a number of young musicians and artists and hopes to showcase their work.
He said: “I hired the venue with the idea to combine raising money for Trinity Hospice with showcasing local young musical talent.
“During 2011, our family lost a very good friend to cancer in Trinity.
“My mum continues to battle skin cancer, so the cause is particularly close to our heart.
“The acts who have agreed to take part are great so it stands to be a really good night of local entertainment and supporting young artists.
“We have been really busy promoting the concert and setting up online ticket sales so we really hope we will get lots of people turning up on the night.”
The line up includes local RnB singer Rob Eagle, Tom Hammond, Alex Schofield and Tom Sanderson.
Local dancers will also be taking to the stage as the FreeFly Dance group and FY Westcoast perform. For more details or to buy tickets for the show contact 07961817780.
