PUBS across the Fylde coast are bringing a taste of America to the region.
Seven Wetherspoons pubs in the area have added a selection of American and international inspired meals to their new menu.
The Auctioneer in Lytham Road, The Albert and The Lion in Bank Hey Street and The Layton Rakes in Market Street, all in Blackpool, are involved in the new venture.
Also taking part are The Trawl Boat Inn in Wood Street, St Annes and The Railway Hotel in Station Road, Lytham, together with The Thomas Drummond in London Street, Fleetwood and The Jolly Tars in Victoria Road West, Cleveleys.
The pubs are also introducing filter coffee to complement their existing range of coffees.
The new meals are Peri-peri roast half chicken (British chicken, fresh coleslaw and chips); as well as New York Style Hot Dog, made up of the classic hot dog and gourmet hot dog – the classic is a pork hot dog, served with chips and the gourmet is a pork hot dog with chilli con carne, cheese and beer-battered onion rings.
The participating Wetherspoon pubs are also offering a list of other international dishes including: a Tennessee burger (beef or chicken breast, bacon, honey glaze, made with Jack Daniel’s® Tennessee Honey) and Full rack of BBQ ribs (with BBQ sauce, fresh coleslaw and beer-battered onion rings).
The freshly brewed filter coffee is made using Lavazza 100 per cent Arabica freshly ground beans.
Bev Bawden, pub manager at The Auctioneer, said: “We are always keen to introduce new dishes to the menu and I believe that they will be a great addition.
“They are universally popular meals and I am pleased that they are now available at The Auctioneer.”
