FUNDRAISING across the Fylde coast is really taking off today as people support Red Nose Day.

Schools and businesses are hoping to entertain and amaze with fundraising feats for the Comic Relief charity which works to end poverty.

Fitness fanatics at FX Leisure gym, Poulton, took on a three-hour sponsored spin-a-thon last night.

While youngsters at Thames Primary Academy, South Shore, are limbering up ahead of a sponsored Harlem Shake in their playground today.

And Alan Quinn, an aircraft fitter at BAE Systems has sold 1,500 red noses to his workmates this week – he’s even kitted out one of the Warton based Typhoons with a nose.

He said: “Everyone here has been really generous and got into the Red Nose spirit, even the Typhoon.”
