Fans of amusement park rides like Blackpool’s The Big One, the Big Dipper and the Grand National are being sought for a rather unusual job.

A Dutch leisure website is seeking rollercoaster ‘testers’, to try out more than 50 rides at eight different theme parks across England and write reviews.

The site is looking for someone who can inform Dutch roller-coaster fans about which rides offer the best adrenaline rush.

The specifications for the successful candidates state they “should not be afraid of stomach-churning inversion or heart-pounding thrills”. There are no other criteria – anyone physically able to ride rollercoasters can apply.

But time is of the essence – the closing date for applications, via Uitmetkorting.nl is today.
