2011 starts on a high

PALATINE Under-16s continued their quest for glory in the Blackpool Schools' Basketball League with a 26-8 home win over Bispham High School.

Palatine are second to Collegiate in the table, and the top two still have to play each other.

Bispham will have a say in the destiny of the title too, as Palatine's other remaining game is the return match against them.

Tom Ashworth was Palatine's top scorer on Monday night, when Lewis McDonnell was man of the match.

Aiman Bactol had a great game at point guard for a Bispham side consisting entirely of Under-15s players.

Coach Mr Morton explained: "It's a development squad, giving the boys a chance to get match experience with a view to being more competitive next year."
