RESIDENTS were forced to run for their lives after an arson attack on a Golden Mile pub.
More than 70 firefighters battled the blaze at the Dutton Arms in the early hours of today.
Around 20 residents of neighbouring flats were evacuated as smoke poured from the premises and engulfed surrounding properties.
Fire crews were called at 1.20am by a member of staff who was sleeping at the premises and fled the building with her 11-year-old son.
He was taken to Blackpool Victoria Hospital suffering from shock.

The Prom was closed to traffic outside the pub - situated between Waterloo Road and Britannia Place - as firefighters brought the fire under control.
It was later reopened at around 8am.
A 29-year-old man from Blackpool has been arrested on suspicion of burglary, criminal damage and arson.
