THE organisers of Miss England are calling for any girls from Morecambe aged between 17 and 24 to enter next year's competition.
In 2007, Miss Morecambe, Nicola Oxlade, entered the competition but sadly this year, there were no entrants from Morecambe.

Miss England organiser Angie Beasley said: "Sadly, Morecambe hasn't been represented for two years now in Miss England which is a great shame as Morecambe is one of the most famous seaside towns in the country associated with beauty contests."

If there is anyone out there who would like to organise a heat in the area, or enter the North West Beauty Awards contest, contact Angie on the number below.

Next year the awards will be held in Blackpool.

Auditions will be held in January and the awards take place on February 1.

North West entrants for the awards can be seen at www.missengland.info/regionals/northwestbeauty. Anyone interested can enter online at www.missengland.info or send an email to angie@missengland.info.

Postal entries to Miss England North West Beauty, PO Box 190, Leicester LE2 8ZN or call 01162 440479 for more information.
