A MEETING takes place today to allow parents and children to have their say on play equipment at a St Annes park.
Interested parties will gather to discuss the improvements proposed for Hove Road Park.

It is part of the Shaping the Place Project on St Alban’s Road.

The focus of the meeting will be the installation of new play equipment in the infant play a
rea which has been designed to be in keeping with the rest of the park.

Coun Simon Renwick, cabinet member for culture and tourism at Fylde Council, said: “We are working very hard to improve our parks and especially the provision for children and young people.

“The plan for this popular park has been developed following consultation with local residents.

“Now we need to know what the people that will actually be using the park want to see in it in terms of playground equipment. The input of the local community is greatly appreciated.”

Parents and children from the St Alban’s Road/Hove Road area are invited to the meeting at the town hall to discuss what sort of play equipment they would like to see in the play areas.

It takes place at 5.30pm and anyone interested can obtain further information from Lee McCarthy on (01253) 658684.
