The Dukes in Lancaster has introduced a monthly daytime film screening to its cinema programme. Audiences will be able to enjoy a new release on the second Tuesday of each month alongside a free drink and pastry.

The next screening on Tuesday March 9 will be Nine (pictured) from the Oscar winning director of Chicago. Originally a Broadway show, Nine is a sultry and glamorous musical about film director Guido Contini as he prepares his latest picture and balances the numerous women in his life.

The Last Station will be screened in April and stars Helen Mirren and Christopher Plummer. The story is set

during the great Russian writer Leo Tolstoy's last year and tells of his turbulent

marriage.

A sumptuous documentary, La Danse, which takes a look backstage at one of the most renowned ballet companies in the world will be showing in May.

All screenings start at 11am and cost 5/4 including tea or coffee and pastries. For more information contact the box office on (01524) 598500 or pop into the Dukes on Moor Lane for a cinema diary.
