Prepare to be amazed

Kissdafunk brings its fifth birthday tour to The Syndicate superclub on Saturday featuring superstar DJ Laidback Luke, Rob Tissera and venue resident Jason Fubar.

Kissdafunk started in Leeds as the brainchild of Rob Tissera who. being a former Hard House DJ, turned his hand to funky and electro house to create a vibrant new event that has become famous across the globe.

This Saturday's teaming promises to be an amazing night.

Laidback Luke (born Luke van Scheppingen in Manila, Philippines) is a Dutch DJ and producer who was voted number 46 on DJ Mag's Top 100 DJ list last year.

Luke grew up in the Netherlands and made his name as a graffiti artist before turning to making music. He has worked with artists such as David Guetta, Steve Angello, Sebastian Ingrosso and Junior Sanchez and played throughout Europe and North America as well as shows in Japan and Ibiza. He has released two studio albums.

Luke is laid back about everything except music. Named best producer of 2008 by such qualified house maestros as David Guetta, Martin Solveig and Roger Sanchez, and landing his hot 100 place in DJ magazine poll, it's clear Holland's homeboy is on the rise like never before.

It's why his party, Super You&Me, is such a winner. It's why he was snapped up for a weekly mix show by French station Radio FG. And it's why he was invited by the UK's Pete Tong to complete an Essential Mix on BBC Radio 1.

Growing up, he loved guitars, graffiti, hip-hop and house, and soon found a mentor in DJ/producer Dobre (The Good Men, Chocolate Puma). Luke was just a teenager when he began producing music, taking the "laid back" tag from Snoop Dogg's Gin & Juice. Yet by 1995 he was putting out tracks; and from 96 he was remixing for established artists like Green Velvet, Victor Calderone and Junior Sanchez.

Rob Tissera is one of dance music's most prolific stars. A top-selling producer and versatile DJ whose technical brilliance and effervescent sets have seen him pack out parties across the globe. Tissera's experience and ability to thrill audiences playing any genre is something only a handful of DJs can match. Famed for his hi-energy hard trance and hard house sets he's also rocked audiences playing dirty funk, uplifting house or big room trance.

Over the years he's played every big party. He's been a regular at Gatecrasher, The Gallery, Tidy Weekenders, Frantic, Slinky, Ministry of Sound, Sundissential, Hacienda, Pam's House, Wildchild, Hard House Academy, Union, Godskitchen, GoodGreef, Global Gathering, Creamfields and Homelands to name a few.

Rob is also regular in Ibiza.

A world-class remixer, Rob re-edits the majority of tunes he plays, which gives the audience a unique musical experience. Such is his skill on the decks he mixes using three decks and two CDJs, overlaying each song with accapellas and effects to add to the Tissera experience. His sets are really something to behold.
