Managing director of Pleasure Beach Blackpool, Amanda Thompson, cut a cake to mark the roller coaster’s 90th anniversary while guests were given the chance to ride the Big Dipper, Infusion, the Grand Prix and the park’s newest ride, Wallace and Gromit Thrill-o-matic.

And the log flume might as well have been open when the heavens opened, drenching those bravely taking on roller coaster Infusion.

Undeterred party-goers stayed on enjoying food and drink at the attraction and seeing the Big One and other rides lit up late into the night.
