Sea Life Centre’s hundreds of residents won’t be lonely this Christmas when the promenade attraction closes for the day.

The team have come up with a plan to keep the creatures company, filming themselves singing Christmas carols while wearing festive jumpers, to be played on TV screens throughout the centre on December 25.

Scott Blacker, displays supervisor, said: “Christmas Day is the only day the centre is closed and we wanted to give our well-loved creatures a little Christmas present and thought this would be just as much fun for them as it is for us.”

But one ‘poor sole’ will still be visiting the centre on the day - making sure the creatures are still fed.
