Blackpool Pleasure Beach is celebrating a big birthday this week.
The attraction’s famous Big Dipper rollercoaster is having its 90th birthday on Friday and to celebrate the park is staying open late.
The world famous “woodie” will be open late, along with the park’s newest ride Wallace & Gromit’s Thrill-O-Matic, rollercoast Infusion and the Grand Prix, for guests to enjoy unlimited rides as well as a plush party.
Blackpool Pleasure Beach managing director Amanda Thompson said: “The Big Dipper is one of the most famous rollercoasters in the world and we couldn’t let its 90th birthday go without a big party to celebrate.
“We want everyone to come and enjoy the party and experience a party they will never forget and a chance to step onboard some of the best rides we have while the sun goes down while enjoying fantastic good and entertainment.”
DJ Mark Freejack will providing live music on the night, and dancers and performers The Street Monkeys will be putting on entertainment.
