CAN you spot the Green Ogre in this picture?

He’s the pantomime baddie in Puss in Boots, Ken Davitt, on the back row, first left.

Keeping the fun in the family, Ken’s sister Christine Davitt (now Hey) took the part of Puss and she can be seen sixth left on the third row from the back.

Completing the family connection, sixth from left on the second row from the back is Pat Hughes, who became Mrs Davitt when she married Ken just a few years after.

The photograph of the cast of the Chapel Street Methodist Church panto back in 1960 is being shared by Josephine Moss (now Allan), who is sixth from left on the back row, and says she is proud to have been friends with Ken, Christine and Pat since they were all children.

Josephine, also known as Josie, says: “Among other names I remember are Ian Edmondson, Ron Blacker, Brian Hall, Shirley Bolton, Anne Albort, Nancy Lincoln, Pat Hughes (now Davitt), Betty Mackay, Christine Mackay, Jennifer Skues, Ereka Peyton, Marcia Barnes, Wendy Gladhill, Enid Clarke, Ruby Wilkinson, Sandra Baxter, Pam Riley, Carol Hindle, Pat Skues, Brian Brookhouse, Jean Higgins, Pat Heaton, David Fennel, Dave Blacker, Valerie Needham, Paula Aveyard and Gill Fennel.”

Josephine now 63, lives in East Lothian and if any of the others in the panto cast remember her she would love to hear from them, or any other old friends, at jomoss1948@gmail.com.
