A distant relative of a Hungarian family is being sought on the Fylde coast.
Pal Breuer, from Budapest, Hungary, has been trying to trace Michael Caswell, the son of his mother’s second cousin, for many years and after much research on the internet, believes him to be living in Poulton.
Mr Breuer would really like to get in touch with Mr Caswell, so is looking for any help for anyone who can contact Mr Caswell or could put the two in touch.
Mr Breuer said: “I did not know much about my relative, except his mother’s and further ancestor’s names and the fact they were living around Manchester. His mother, Trudy or Gertrude Felmar, was born in Vienna, Austria, and moved to England during the Second World War, in her youth.
“Later she was followed by her mother and aunt. I found regrettably she died in Blackpool in 2010. She had a son called Michael, born in 1954.”
Mr Breuer has sent in a couple of photos of his mother, Agnes Bernauer, taken between 1935 and 1937 in Austria, with Trudy Felmar. He is optimistic he may be able to get in touch with Mr Caswell, after finding on The Gazette website a Mr Caswell, of Beech Drive, had a reader’s letter published.
