It's a Scream with Billy for these kids

More than 30 pupils from Scream Theatre School are filling the stage of Blackpool North Theatre as part of all rounder Billy Pearce's latest Blackpool summer season show on North Pier.

The Billy Pearce Laughter Show opened for a run of Tuesday performers last night and saw the young entertainers, aged between six and 16, perform alongside the comedian after just three weeks of rehearsals.

Tracey Bell, founder of Scream Theatre School commented: "I am honoured that the pupils have been invited to take part in The Billy Pearce Laughter Show and it will provide them with a fantastic opportunity for the put their skills in the spotlight whilst gaining valuable stage experience.

"They are all extremely excited about being involved with such a prestigious show and will prove to the audiences that Blackpool definitely has talent."

Tony-Jo, of show promoters HRH Entertainments added: "The kids from Scream add an extra dimension to the show and I was delighted to ask them to take part. I have worked with the school in the past and have always found them to be well-mannered and multi-talented – they are a credit to Blackpool.

"Tracey is extremely dedicated and has worked hard to ensure that the school is the slickest outfit in town."
