Halfway housemates evicted from Big Brother

Two of Big Brother's "halfway housemates'' have been evicted after just a week on the programme to the relief of their fellow contestants.

Shanessa Reilly and David Parnaby were voted out of the show last night having spent only a few hours in the main house.

The other two halfway housemates, Big Brother veteran Tracey Barnard and newcomer Kara-Louise Horne will now re-enter the main house.

The contestants were all together when the results were announced and hugged and kissed David and Shanessa farewell.

The long-standing housemates did not appear especially upset by the swift departure of the new arrivals.

In a sign that tensions between 27-year-old Shanessa and Amy Alexandra, 21, had not subsided, the care assistant said that she expected her former halfway housemates to follow her out of the house.

"Halfway housemates will be out next week,'' she assured the 21-year-old glamour model who she blames for allowing her to be returned to the halfway house and therefore face the public vote.

The remaining housemates later hinted they would not miss Shanessa's provocative behaviour.

Liam said: "I'm just saying she probably should've held back on some things.''

"That's probably why she isn't here, because of half the things she said,'' agreed Ziggy.

Liam continued: "David came on a bit strong. It's maybe lucky for them that they did go now and there's no hard feelings.''

Amy concluded: "I was quite happy to go with the decision to remove all three of them in the first place.''
