Two of the biggest bands in the land will be launching the Tower Festival Headland as an outdoor venue in June – and you could be seeing them for nothing.
In association with promoters Cuffe & Taylor and Marketing Blackpool, Duke’s Diary is giving away two pairs of general admission tickets for the concert by The Wanted and McFly on Sunday, June 24.
The concert, which brings together two of the country’s biggest boy bands at the UK’s newest open air venue, is presented by promoters Cuffe & Taylor in association with Marketing Blackpool.
The Wanted and McFly are two of Britain’s most popular bands, with certified gold and double platinum albums respectively.
McFly have recently hit the headlines again after members Dougie Poynter and Harry Judd both won reality TV contests – namely I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here and Strictly Come Dancing.
It will be the first return to the resort for Harry since winning Strictly in the Tower Ballroom.
The Wanted have been enjoying great chart success, and have recently been touring in America. They embark on their first sold out UK arena tour next month.
Interest in the concert is already at fever pitch, with early bird tickets available at £24.50 each from today until February 3 – after which they rise to £29.50. Tickets are available from.ticketline.co.uk, blackpooltowerheadland.co.uk, or by calling 0844 8889991.
VisitBlackpool is also offering a host of tickets and attraction packages, details of which can be found at www.visitblackpoolshop.co.uk
The event coincides with the arrival of the Olympic Torch in Blackpool on Friday, June 22.
Following the arrival of the Olympic Torch, an evening celebration will take place on the Tower Festival Headland. A spokesman for Cuffe & Taylor said: “We are thrilled to be hosting music concerts in the heart of Blackpool.
“We are a local company and can’t wait to be part of this exciting venture working with Marketing Blackpool.
“The Wanted and McFly are hugely popular, and to have them both headlining at the same concert will be a great day.”
