Total tribute

One of the country’s best Stone Roses tribute bands makes a headline appearance at the Blue Room on Church Street, Blackpool tonight.

The Total Stone Roses play a 90-minute set of all of the best Roses material including She Bangs The Drums, Fools Gold, Waterfall, I Wanna Be Adored and Love Spreads.

In the absence until recently of the original band, the last few have seen The Total Stone Roses playing gigs and stunning audiences throughout the country, building up a solid fan base that makes them a force to be reckoned with in the tribute scene. The band are all in their early to mid-20s, bringing passion, vigour, arrogance and charisma that only the young have and the old want – and that can’t be faked.

This same drive is what gave the original Stone Roses their ‘X Factor’ and took them to the heady heights of success and fame that they achieved in the late 1980s and early 1990s and beyond.

The Total Stone Roses are all professional musicians and Leeds College of Music graduates. They strive to re-create the Roses sound live and are meticulous in the recreation of their material.

And it’s cheaper than waiting for the re-formed real band in the summer – £2 entry from 8pm onwards.
